I’m on a diet right now and I’m wondering what a good healthy yogurt is to eat. Top 3 suggestions would be nice. Thanks in advance.

    It depends on what yogurt is it if its Yoplait great choice or Activia yorgurt is great either one is great yorgurt for weight loss

    There are NO commercial yogurts that are any good. They are all made from GRAIN fed animals, then the dairy in them are pasteurized that kill all the good bacteria, especially the lactose eating ones, and they all contain lots of sugar. Yoplait for example has somewhere between 27 and 33 grams of sugar per little cup. If you eat about 15 of those, you will be putting about 1 whole pound of sugar in your body. Does that sound healthy to you?

    The best thing you can do is get some RAW milk and make your own kefir or yogurt from that yourself. That is healthy and good for you. Any weight loss diet should consist of lots of fat and low carb (about 75 grams per day max.). The fat tissue in your body produces a hormone called Leptin and this hormone is what tells your body how to utilize insulin & glucagon. Get the book called “Eat fat, lose weight” by Mary G. Enig, Ph.D and learn about weight management from a real expert, not some hack doctor or so called food expert on Yahoo, or the media of any kind that is simply promoting some product in stealth marketing mode.

    Go for Greek yogurt (nonfat) =) It has more protein than regular yogurt, though regular yogurt is great to. Go for an organic, natural yogurt if possible. If you choose plain yogurt but would like sweetness you could try a drizzle of honey or agave nectar, jam, fruit/berries.

    Most pre-fruited yogurts have a lot of sugar. The low fat ones have even more sugar/sweetners to make them taste better. Plain yogurt with chopped fruit or fresh berries would be better. I like Nancy’s yogurt from the health food section. Plain yogurt is more bitter than the flavored, but once you get used to it, the flavored ones are too sweet.
