Raising metabolism is more about when you eat and not what you eat. Eat a ton of small meals. Celery is a a food that burns more calories than it gives you.

    protein protein protein protein

Lean meats like chicken, fish, and turkey are the absolute best things you can eat to build lean muscle and burn fat. It gives you more energy that anything else, and will fill you up until your next meal. It is impossible for protein to be stored as fat, unlike fats and carbs.

  3. Jei J writes:

you cant turn fat into muscle. It is impossible. However, you can turn the fat into energy for your body functions by doing cardio. Weight lifting wont help this at all though.

I was going to copy and past but this is what I do I eat whatever I please I just work out and drink plenty of water I am 6’2” 250lbs and I guarantee you it is all muscle.

    Well, protein…egg whites, chicken, steak…….etc………

don’t ever starve yourself, but don’t eat too too much either and try to eat more then 3 times a day. Everytime you eat your body can only absorb so many vitamin, minerals, etc into your body. So that access food isn’t really doing you a ton of good, unless in your case it’s protein. Lay low on a lot of sugary stuff and junk food, that contributes to the fat.

  6. Fireman writes:

Any food that is low in fat and high in protein will help with muscle build and fat loss. This only helps if you are doing a cardio exercise along with lifting. Some good protein foods like chicken breasts and fish. Try not to eat so much red meat as it is high in fats. Bananas are good for your muscles too. They help reduce any muscle cramping after working out.

  7. Christian P writes:

TO raise your metabolism, after every meal you have to walk, it increases your process and helps you digest food into energy. You can also lift weights which it also raises your metabolism. Oh yeah, and by the way, if your actuallly expecting anything like a six pack, you will not get it at your age, but keep working out though, it will make your life easier being in shape.

  8. Boudreaux writes:

Take a few nibbles from a Ginger root. That has a natural stimulating effect. And of course, Bananas, for when you are actually at the meet.
    Nuts, Seeds like Hazelnuts
Fish, especially cold water oily fish, and Fish Oils
Whole Grains like Wheat Germ and some Cereals
    Sweet Potatoes
    Peanut Butter

  9. Phochem.International writes:

Chocolate , chocolate biscuits , peanuts, sprouted grams can boost energy to burn fat.

  10. lv_consultant writes:

proteins cause the greatest thermogenic effect, then carbs then fats. decrease your carb intake and increase the lean protein intake. when there are sufficient calories consumed this causes the body to utilize a greater amount of fatty acids for energy. protein is a very poor energy source and since the carb intake is reduced this forces the body to use more fat for energy when at rest.
