How To Lose 10 To 30 Pounds A Month

Question by Clara: Weight loss for a 13 year old girl? Help!?!?!!?!?
I’m 5’1 and a half and weigh 120 lbs. I wanna lose at least 10 lbs. I am not skinny OR chubby. But my fat is becoming a lot more visible. I’m have been told by relatives I should lose afue pounds. I can not go running because I usually run 2 miles with my mom but she hurt her knee. I want to keep a healthy weight. How can I motivate myself to eat healthier and to stop snacking so much. What can I eat as a healthier snack alternative. For juice I usually just drink coconut water with mango and v8 light pomegranate blueberry juice and water(yeah I know it’s not juice.) For breakfast I usually have oatmeal with honey a little butter and milk. I have about half a cup cause I get full. On dinner meals I have seconds sometimes even when I’m full. I have been better with not doing it. P.s I have started my period and I know it’s not the problem.

Well I’m 13 and i have a totally opposite problem. I lost so much weigh. And i don’t like that. Really to lose weigh, just eat healthy and exercise.By healthy i mean limit the way you eat. No seconds. A little bit for breakfast. Maybe a cereal with milk and an orange juice? Also for me, i walk for about 40 minutes every evening. Get my self ice cream and get going. Just don’t starve yourself. Take swimming classes. THEY HELP A LOT. Trust me with this(:

Hi, I am also 13 and had weight probs and I was motivated by jeans I couldn’t wear
And I also became vegetarian I was 130 now I’m 110 and to stop snacking think of the word obese and ear fruit drink ice cold water

Drink a glass of cold water before each meal because it will fill you up more so you won’t eat as much. At snack time, have a glass of water and an apple or some other fruit or vegetable. Try to stay away from fried food. Eat less carbs. Instead of white bread eat wheat bread. And if you can’t run, do jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, and jog in place in your room. Also, dancing to a few songs will have you burning lots of calories. 🙂 good luck

If you want to easy diet give yourself a cheat day once a week. For healthy snacks try celery with peanut butter, cottage cheese with tuna. Try to pack you meals with protein it’s great for gaining muscle (which weighs more but you’ll be skinnier) and try to stay away from diet low fat or light foods they tend to have artificial sweeteners or higher sodium contents both make you gain weight and are bad for you. Don’t skip meals because your body will store more fat from your next meal because it’ll think it’s starving and will go in survival mode. Also try lemon in your water its a natural detox and will help with belly pudge

First off, that’s a perfectly healthy weight for your height. You really just need to focus at keeping healthy habits. The best snack alternatives are fruits and vegetables. Make sure you are drinking water, your body will often feel hungry when really you are just thirsty. Before you eat a meal, drink one regular glass of water to get something in your stomach. For motivation, look to friends with similar goals and family support. You’re still gonna be developing for quite a few more years, so don’t worry about losing weight. Think more about simply controlling it. Just create and keep healthy habits and don’t worry if you get a little discouraged.

At that age I got a little thicker around the middle, but I was just puberty. Got some pretty awesome hips and boobs in the end! More important to stay active than ‘diet’ at your age. Walking can be equally as good as running, but if you’re home bound, make a circuit of 1 min jumping jacks, 1 min skipping, 1 min sit ups, 1 min push ups, 1 min tuck jumps and repeat 3 times for a high intensity interval work out. You can also change the exercises, but don’t need equipment. If you’re really worried about what you’re eating, remember some fruits are very high in sugar (mango especially).

I am 14 and recently I have been trying to lose weight. What I do is have a low calorie which exists of roughly 20g of cereal (average serving is 30g) or 1 slice of toast with margarine then a piece of fruit which is low in calories e.g. an apple or grapes. Then for lunch I try to have a piece of toast with low fat cheese or a small sandwich and then a piece of fruit. Then for dinner I can pig out and eat all my food. But try not to ask for seconds. If you get hungry in between eat some fruit low in calories (one grape has 5 calories and 1 raspberry is just under 1 calorie) or drink lots of water because it fills you up. Fruit juices like the ones you have are high in sugar and quite high in calories so I would try to avoid them.
I know this works because my dad has noticed I have lost some weight and a pair of my shorts are now really big on me. I have only been eating like this for about 2 weeks (I still am) and I’ve had some noticeable results and. Please don’t starve yourself though, because starving yourself is unhealthy and doing it means your not taking important vitamins and minerals.
Oh and also you have a higher metabolism in the morning so you could try do some sit ups and squats as soon as you wake up. If you have an android phone you can get daily ab workout free and daily leg workout free. These apps are free and I sometimes use them because they’re so easy to follow. If you don’t have an android phone, I used to use these links before I found these apps:

I walk almost everywhere I go which helps:)
I really hope this helps you lose weight and good luck!! P.S. I’m also 5’1 and I am just under 105 pounds.

*Firstly, you should not skip your breakfast, whatever the case may be. Because it is the vital meal of your whole day and the rate of metabolism slows down if you don’t have it. In addition to this, you will be so hungry at your lunchtime that you will end up eating more food than required. So make sure you have a proper and healthy breakfast before leaving your house.
*Secondly, don’t engross yourself in other things like, reading books or watching TV while eating your food. If you don’t concentrate in your food, you will take more than necessary which is not good for your health as well as your weight. You must enjoy your food with your friends or your family but keep an eye on your food too.
*Thirdly, you should chew your food at least 35 times before eating, because the researchers have found out that you will consume fewer calories if you chew for longer time. Moreover, it helps you to digest your food faster as well as restrict the size of your portion and thus you can lose your weight.
*Fruits are just incomparable in losing your weight. They help to detoxify your body if you take them in empty stomach. Moreover, they will give you a huge amount of energy to exercise. It is believed that eating fruits about 30 minutes before any full meal helps in digesting the food quickly.
*Drink water as much as you can as it is very important for a healthy body and it creases the metabolic rate. But you must avoid drinking water in between your meals, since the liquid decreases the rate of digestion. It is advised to have water at least 15 minutes before or after your meal.
*Losing weight can be a difficult process for nearly everyone, so it’s not uncommon that people will ask: how can I lose weight and how can I lose it quickly? Some people are more blessed than others when it comes to their metabolism. A faster metabolism does make losing weight easier, but that’s not to say that someone with a slow metabolism can’t lose weight. In fact, someone with a slow metabolism can lose those extra pounds, and provided that they follow the tips that we suggest, they can lose those pounds quickly. So stop using your sluggish metabolism as an excuse, a barrier between you and your goals.
There are a few rules to follow to ensure that you will lose weight quickly. If you only choose to follow one of these rules, your success will be limited. On the other hand, if you follow all of these rules, you will lose weight rapidly, and just as importantly, you will keep the weight off.

    Losing Weight Rule #1
Stay well hydrated. Hydration is one of the most important parts of losing weight and being healthier overall. Drinking lots of water ensures that your stomach is full, and it tricks your body into thinking that you are not hungry. It is important to hydrate primarily with water for a number of reasons. Water is natural and inexpensive, and it is calorie free

    Losing Weight Rule #2
Exercise! Exercising is a fun and effective way of losing weight. If you are having trouble losing weight, or if you are losing weight, but not quickly, try adding in exercise. You will be sure to notice a difference if you add exercise to your healthy lifestyle. Not only does it help with weight loss, it also improves cardiovascular health greatly.Rule #1 comes into play here, too; staying hydrated is important if you are exercising because your workouts will suffer if you do not properly hydrate before, during, and after the workout. Staying hydrated allows you to perform at the highest level possible, ensuring that you burn the maximum amount of calories during your workout. Did you know that a 30-minute run can burn up to 500 calories?

    Losing Weight Rule #3
Have a diet plan. You can do all the exercise in the world, but if you aren’t eating properly, and eating proper-sized portions, you won’t achieve any success. Weight loss ultimately comes down to calories in vs. calories out; that is, the number of calories that you consume (take in) must be less than the number of calories that you burn (put out) in order for weight loss to occur. Keep a food diary so that you understand what you are eating. Buy a food scale that gives you an accurate estimate of portion sizes. Choose a diet plan that gives you a good mix of proteins and complex carbohydrates. Avoid empty calories.

So, with those rules and tips, you have everything you need to lose weight fast. Losing weight can be difficult, but it is far from impossible, especially with this knowledge. No matter what weight you have been all your life, you can lose weight, and you will lose weight provided that you follow these steps. So if you’ve made it this far, then congratulations; you’ve taken the first step towards losing weight fast.
Not everyone has a speedy metabolism. It’s like being born with perfect pitch or an ability to draw. But everyone can lose weight and keep it off. It just takes discipline and desire. Good luck.
