Question by lumpy_tx: What is the best way to quickly raise your metabolism.?
I understand the effects of diet and exercise on the metabolism, but I need other ways to raise my metabolism. Artificially, officially, un-healthely. I don’t care I just need as many ways as possible to raise my metabolism.
Added details: Most of you people are tools. I said I understand the effects of diet and exercise. Please stop telling me to change my diet and exercise. I am looking for ways to supplement that because I already do it.

    Eating six meals a day!

Yea, no kidding. But not huge meals, no. Small ones. Spacing out the normally three large meals into six. Likesay, you eat your normal breakfast, in between lunch and that, munch on some nuts or fruits. Do the same between lunch and dinner. Its slow going, as most things related to diet are. Also, try excercising. It doesnt have to be at a gym, a good 30 minute walk at least three times a week will help boost your energy levels up.

-blinks, blinks- Why do you sound so desperate to raise your metabolism that you would turn to something unhealthy to do so?
There are a wide range of dietary supplements that promise to Boost your fat burning metabolism. One that I personally use and have gotten decent weight loss results with is Dexatrim Max20. However, it doesn’t mean that you should turn to dietary supplements without giving it some thought and consulting your doctor first.

Some other advise I’ve found for you by searching the web:

Don’t Skip Meals – Your body is the furnace and food is the logs. dont let your furnace (metabolism) burn low. Eat nutritious snacks between meals. The most popular meal to skip is breakfast. DON’T DO IT. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it gives you energy to perform important tasks and it helps prevent snacking on junk food later in the morning.

Take frequent walking breaks – The more you move around during the day, the more calories you burn. If possible, take a 5 minute walking break around your work area (inside or out) every hour.

Take the longest route – We naturally take the path of least resistance. When walking, take the longest route. This applies to anywhere you go. If you work at a big company and must frequently walk to other buildings, use that time to put in some extra walking. The more active you are, the easier losing weight will become.

Exercise for 30 minutes or more – The body starts to dip into it’s fat reserve after 30 minutes of continuous exercise. Your exercise pace should be enough for you to talk but not sing.

the easiest & most effective way to do this is to eat at least five small meals a day, starting no later than 9am & ending no later than 7pm, high in protein, low in carbs (don’t eliminate carbs completely, you must be balanced in your eating). and drink lots of water, all day long – a minimum of 64 oz a day. also exercise every day, for at least 30-45 minutes. all of this will help w/ your metabolism, speeding it up & keeping it moving.

Eat constantly! I know it sounds crazy, but your metabolism will really shoot up! First thing in the morning EAT BREAKFAST! Then don’t go longer than 2 hours without eating. Eat, much smaller meals though and don’t eat foods with alot of carbs, go more for the fruit and veggies, especially apples. Also if your not the type of person that can find the time to eat that often, drink alot of V8 and V8 splash, as thoughs count as a serving or 2 of veggies. Try it for a week, I think you’ll be quite surprised!

Take dietary supplements then!!! Not sure if it is a healthy option…
Your body is an amazing machine, it works flawless… if your body needs something it tells you, if it doesn’t need it, it will discart it, eat healthy and exercise, your body will calibrate by itself
