Question by Ishmeet Kaur: What is the best way for a 14 year old girl to loose 25-30 pounds in 3-4 months?
I am 14 years old and 5 foot 1 inch. I am 140 pounds. I have to preform in July, a traditional indian folk dance. I really want to loose 25 to 30 pounds before then. I have no idea how to. Please help. I really don’t want to do those stupid weight loss programs. I go to school from 8am-6pm(I go to an after school program). anything cardio or anything i would have to do between 6-9pm. Thanks 🙂

Hi Ishmeet. The answer is diet (what you eat) and exercise. To lose weight you need to use more calories than you consume. Increase your level of exercise (walking, running & swimming are good) and decrease the amount of high-calorie food you eat. That means leaving out candy and sweet things and having smaller meals than you have been eating. Whatever you do dont starve yourself or do stupid things like making yourself sick. And dont be tempted to take any medication that may be offered you by unqualified people. It’s very important to eat healthily. Be consistent in having regular meals, eating a little less food, getting more exercise and you’ll lose your weight. Your health is very important, look after yourself.
