Question by Kristy: What is a good program/website to track weight loss?
Something simple to put it in a graph or some such to let me know how far I’ve come, how I’m doing, or how far I have to go.
I’m doing Weight Watchers Online now, and it just doesn’t have something that’s easy to look at that will track my progress.

Any other suggestions to help me keep to the diet or otherwise encourage me would be great too 🙂
I’m having to do everything online what with my lack of a car to get around, so I don’t really have access to the WW center. I have heard more about ediets lately, and may check into that, although I’m looking for something a little more free.

WW is working very well and it seems as if I’ve lost some weight (or so says my scale), but the interface to their program is a bit hard to use. It does include something like what I’m talking about, however it’s hard to get to and rather simplistic, in that it only gives me numbers and I’m much more of a visual person 😛

I like ediets.com However, you have to pay. It has a lot of neat tools and calorie counters to plan your meals. I liek the eating out feature which asllows you to plan meals are common resteraunts and choose sensibly from their menus.

I am surprised WW does not have something similar. Have you ask them if they have a local website or if you have access to the natinal website members area?

    Fitday.com is good, but the best program I found to track my weight/body fat/body measurements is Microsoft Excel. It allows you to track and chart whatever you want, not what some programmer thinks you need to track.

    If you don’t have Excel, you can download and install a free office suite called OpenOffice. You can download it at http://www.openoffice.org/. It’s not 100% compatible with MS Office, but for what 95% of people need, this will work.

    I’m going to echo brykhous’ answer – I’ve used both fitday, sparkpeople, and ediets and I’ll give my vote to sparkpeople. You’ll even get recipes (like ediets) and exercises for *free* – also, if you want the support that comes with programs like WW you should consider joining a yahoo fitness group (it may not be your thing, but personally, I like people bugging me to stay on track)
