I’m 15 5’3 1/2 124lbs I wanna look like im 110-115lbs with a flat stomach and smaller thighs
would exercising and protein shakes help me with this?
I don’t wanna look like ive gain weight I wanna look like I’ve lost weight

No, protein shakes don’t do much. If anything, they’ll make you fat because protein has the same caloric value and pure sugar.

You don’t need protein unless you have a terrible diet (think anorexic) or live in a third world country. We live in a protein rich world where there is abundant food and almost no one need supplemental protein. The big protein myth was created by bodybuilding and supplement scammers.

Your weight is excellent for your height and you don’t need to lose. You’re 15 and growing and it’s misguided and silly to try to change every little thing you don’t like about your body while you’re growing and developing. As soon as you change something, it may change itself and then you have to rechange it and so on. Now is the time for you to be studying health, nutrition, fitness, etc. so you can become a good steward of your health and well being for life.

Beware the eating disorder. You’re at the right age and gender and you have the same unrealistic concerns about weight as someone with EDNOS. So, if you begin feeling anxious or depressed and find yourself thinking about dishonest and secretive eating and weight loss behavior, you’ll need to get help even though everything in your mind will be telling you not to.

• About 8 million Americans suffer from an eating disorder (does not include over eaters)
• 0.5% of American women suffers from anorexia.
• 2.5% of American women suffers from bulimia.
• 1.1% – 4.2% of females suffer from bulimia nervosa in their lifetime.
• About 10% of college women suffer from a clinical or nearly clinical eating disorder, including 5.1% who suffer from bulimia nervosa.
• Studies indicate that by their first year of college, 4.5 to 18% of women and 0.4% of men have a history of bulimia.
• A study by the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders reported that 5 – 10% of anorexics die within 10 years after contracting the disease; 18-20% of anorexics will be dead after 20 years and only 30 – 40% ever fully recover
