i want to have the body of a model and lose weight at the same time but it seems that i have low metabolism.How do you raise metabolism.It will probably take a few weeks for some one to get the top answer cuz imma test it first. but thx for those who helped.

    Eat well and exercise a lot. Michael Phelps has an extremely fast metabolism because he is intaking so many calories and burning them off at an enormous rate. In other words, just be athletic, because the more muscle you have, the more you’re going to burn calories.

    Also, don’t forget that genetics affects metabolism as well. You might not be born with a super fast metabolism like I was (I have to eat huge amounts of food to maintain my weight, let alone gain). Hard work will get you there though.

    kick start your metabolism in the morning by eating something healthy. skipping breakfast will hinder your progress. you may find you’ll eat a little bit more through the day too, because your body is burning energy from earlier in the day. and don’t be one of those whiners who says “i don’t have time to exercise”… start doing five sit ups or push ups during commercials when you watch tv. everyone has time for that. get up twenty minutes earlier and do a lap of the block at normal walking pace. it sounds crap but it makes you feel a hundred times better.

    Eat first thing when you wake up. Eating starts up your Metabolism. Then snack all day long. Healthy small meals. That will keep your Metabolism going all day. Do not over eat. Do not eat 1 hour before bed. Excersize both muscular and areobic such as weight lifting and jogging. sleep 6 to 8 hours per night.

    Weight training & high impact Interval training are two of the best ways to boost your metabolism. Both will do far more than steady state cardio like jogging.

    Eat 5-6 small meals a day, making sure you have protein in each one and EITHER carbs or fat with it, but not both. Try for protein/carbs in the morning, protein/fats in the afternoon. 40% carb, 40% protein, 20% fats total for the day. Do NOT skip meals, esp breakfast.

    Don’t expect your metabolism to magically take off over night. You’re gonna have to work a bit to make it happen.

    week fitness plan:
    monday, thurse:
    20 mins cardio in the morn
    40 mins cardio in the eve

    tuseday, fri:
    20 mins arobics in the morn
    20 cadio in the aft

    wed, one day of weekend:
    30 mins cardio in the morn
    30 mins free style work out in the aft/ eve

    and i want you to eat 1200 calories a day. 300 breakfast, 300 lunch, 300 dinner, 150 snack between lunch and dinner, 150 after dinner before bed snack. drink lots of water, and only brown carbs. lots of high fiber fruits and veggies will keep you feeling full longer.

    Hi, there!

    You can speed up your metabolism in several good ways. There are foods to eat, foods to avoid, a pattern of eating, and specific exercises that will all speed up metabolism if done properly. The methods work well together and they are sustainable long term.

    First, eat a meal about every 3 waking hours (5 or 6 meals per day). You will not be eating more food; you will simply be spreading it throughout the day. Each of those 5 or 6 feedings should contain at least 15 grams of unprocessed protein (from natural sources) for a female or at least 20 grams per feeding for a male. Also, drink plenty of water. Increase your intake daily until you are consuming at least 3 quarts daily–and one gallon daily would be better.

    Second, eliminate processed (refined) carbohydrates from your diet. Processed (refined) carbohydrates have negative effects on health. They can also cause weight gain and slow down metabolism. When digested all carbohydrates turn into sugar, and sugar becomes fat. So, think of eating carbohydrates as eating sugar and think of eating processed (refined) carbohydrates as eating concentrated sugar.

    If you want to speed up your metabolism to lose body fat, allow yourself only 40 to 70 grams of carbohydrates daily. Get those carbohydrates from natural sources such as (preferably organic) fresh vegetables and low carb fruits. There is no minimum daily requirement for carbohydrates, but they do have many beneficial phytochemicals and fiber so eating some is fine (as long as they are unprocessed).

    Third, begin a program of mild fitness exercise (cardio) such as brisk walking. For example, today go for a walk at the best pace you can manage until you are comfortably tired. Note how far you walked. The day after tomorrow, go for another walk but increase the distance slightly. Continue walking every other day until you are walking 4 miles.

    Once you are able to do that, slightly increase your pace with each walk until you are walking those 4 miles in just under 1 hour every other day. This will burn many extra calories during an immediately after your walks.

    Fourth, begin a strength training program to increase your lean muscle mass. Lean muscle is a METABOLIC FURNACE that will burn extra calories 24 HOURS DAILY. Male or female, young or old, everyone can lose body fat this way.
