Question by Melissa: How can I speed up my metabolism and burn more calories?
I have gained about 60 pounds in the past 3 years and my metabolism has slowed down significantly cause it’s taking forever to loose weight. Please help!

this is just a stage of puberty where a girl can gain up to 150 pounds and then loose it all within a 3 year period. so chill, and DO NOT diet, it is very unhealthy and can cause you to gain more wieght. it can also cause eating disorders.

    you have to get a healthy diet and exercise. also drink tea and other natural things.

    to burn more calories you need to do about 30-45min of cardio everyday. make sure that your heart rate is staying up the whole time. a good thing to do is just to take a good brisk walk. make sure you are staying at a pretty decent pace and you arent just lully gaggy along. Also, you need to make sure that you are burning more calories then you are taking in. a good thing to do is to make sure you are eating alot of vegetables. They are high in fiber and very low in calories(they will fill you up quickly) Diet pills dont help at all. so dont even waste your money.

    Both aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise will boost your metabolism.You need to eat smaller meals every 2-3 hours.

    You just need to eat more protein than you do carbohydrates , drink lots of water, never eat sugar and carbohydrates with eachother. Like eating dinner with soda is bad because sugar and carbs make fat and it causes your metabolism to slow down. Also, eat small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going.
