Question by Lexi: How to raise metabolism after dieting?

I have recently been on a low caloric diet and would like to know what is the procedure to raise the metabolism to the normal burning state before the diet. Is it by gradually introducing more food and energy in your diet, and waiting a few weeks so that your body gets used to the new caloric intake?

Please give lots of suggestions, they are all welcomed.

    One of the main reasons your ‘metabolism’ slows down after a crash diet is that crash diets burn a lot of muscle, and muscle burns a lot more calories than fat or other tissue. So if you want to get your metabolism back, build up your muscle by increasing your protein intake and working out more.
