Question by How to get over Weight loss plateau!?
Ive been losing weight for a 2 months now from 164 to 155. Its been 2 weeks and I cant get below 155. I eat healthy and burn off 400 calories a day. I also take coconut oil and drink 10 glasses of water each day.

The sad answer is – as you lose weight your body is adjusting. It learns to live on the reduced amount of food you give it and it learns to adapt to the exercise you are doing daily.

2 weeks actually isn’t very long for a plateau.

But – If you really want out of your plateau – do this.

Do not eat any carbs for 2 days. This means only eat meat, fish, eggs, and some cheese. You can eat all you want just don’t eat any carbs.

Then for the following week eat only 20 carbs per day.

You’ll see a change.

If at the end of the week you want to go back, you can – but you can also just stay on the low carb diet. Google Atkins for the whole plan.

When I get stuck I always throw a couple of days with no carbs in there to ‘shock’ my body out of the plateau. It is effective.
